SUPPORT TEST
One of five examinations that a taxpayer must pass in order to declare an individual as a dependent. Each individual must sustain more than half of the dependent’s living costs over a year. Expenses include meals, lodging, clothing, medical care, and other expenses relative to taking care of a dependent.
