SURRENDER RIGHTS
Right to call off an annuity or life insurance contract in exchange for an amount of money. This contract can incur surrender charges and income tax liability. Contract holders, before exercising these rights, should know the contract’s cash value, as well as the fees and taxes they will incur, and the amount of money they will net upon cancellation.
