- Lifespan of an asset or a liability in which its value is expected to either increase or decline, depending on its nature.
- Time period assigned to an investment. In debt, it is the time it takes for a borrower to pay his debt to the lender. In equity investment, time that passes by between the acquisition of the equity, and its sale or removal from listings for whatever reason.
