SWAP DEALER
Individual serving as the counterparty in a swap agreement who earns through spread. The market makers for the swap market, they normally look for potential swap deals. Spread represents the difference between the wholesale prices for trades and retail trade. Since swap arrangement are not actively traded, dealers permit brokers to standardize swap contracts at certain point.
