TAX EQUITY AND FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT OF 1982 - TEFRA
Federal tax legislation which repealed certain provisions of the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981. Passed in 1982, both acts were enacted during the term of former US President Ronald Reagan. This law lowered income tax rates while high rates were given a maximum of 50%.
