Only stock exchange in Israel. The securities market started its operations in 1935 through the Exchange Bureau for Securities. After the country became a state in 1948, it was formalized in 1953 and named the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). TA-25 is the exchange’s key index, a capitalization-weighted index with largest 25 stocks in the exchange.
