TERMINAL VALUE - TV
Value of an investment or asset at a determined future valuation date. It accounts factors including interest rates and current value of the asset, presuming a steady growth rate. The value also pertains to the value of a company at a given future valuation date. The perpetuity growth model and the exit approach are two of the most common methods of evaluating the terminal value of an asset. Also called continuing value or horizon value.
