UNDERWRITING EXPENSES
Underwriting Expenses are costs and expenditures relating to the underwriting activity. In terms of insurance, it includes direct costs such as actuarial reviews, business acquisitions, and inspections. In terms of investment, it includes an investment bank’s expenditures on diligence activities and research, legal fees, and accounting fees.
