Uninsured Certificate of Deposit is a certificate of deposit not protected by any insurance against losses. This kind of certificate deposit yields a higher interest rate due to the unprotected nature, putting all the risk to the trader. In case of bankruptcy from the financial institution that released the certificate of deposit, the trader loses his investment.
