UNWIND
Unwind means to close out a position which has the correction of an error or in other words, offsetting investments. The occurrence of unwinds is due to erroneous activities. For example, a broker accidentally sells part of a position but the in fact, the investor wanted to add to it. The broker would now need to unwind by purchasing the right stock and selling the wrong stock.
