UPTICK VOLUME
Uptick Volume are the securities’ volume shares traded in the time of price increase of the stock. Trading strategies that are based on trends makes use of uptick volumes. In these strategies, the discrepancy between uptick volume and downtick volume is called the money flow. A rising uptick volume indicates that a stock has positive momentum because the average price is lower than the current trading price.
