UYU
UYU is the abbreviation for the currency in Uruguay that is the Uruguayan peso. For each Uruguayan peso, there is 100 centésimos. The currency is more often than not, represented with a ‘$’ sign. Although it is a national currency, larger assets like real estate and automobiles are mostly still priced in US dollars because of the Uruguayan peso’s nature of instability.
