YEAR
Year is a period of time consisting of 12 consecutive months. In finance, the starting date of a year can vary. Usually, a year simply refers to the calendar year, which starts on January 1 and ends on December 31. However, there is also a "fiscal year," which has a time period other than January 1 - December 31. This is basically used for government or corporate accounting purposes such as the preparation of financial statements.
