ABCD COUNTIES
These are the categories of US counties developed and devised by the AC Nielsen Company from the population data of the US Census Bureau, and the counties proximity or distance to major metropolitan areas in the country. In this category, an A country means that it has one of the largest population, and D means it has one of the smallest. The classification of counties is based on the latest census’ data that are taken every 10 years. The classification of counties is useful to advertising agencies and marketing firms in their advertising analysis, marketing preparations and media plans.
