ABEND
An unperceived termination of a computer program that leads to crashing or closing down of the system. It's etymology came from the abbreviation of "abnormal end", a significant loss may toll a company when an abend crashes to a business setting. This is the reason why a lot of information technology (IT) departments are spending a vast amount of resources to detect and correct bugs in a software.
