ACQUISITION ADJUSTMENT
The difference between the net original cost of the target utility assets of the company and the price which an acquiring company compensates for the purchase of a target company. An acquisition adjustment is the premium bestowed for acquiring a company greater that its book value or tangible assets.
Sometimes called as "good will."
