ACTUARIAL DEFICIT
The difference between the current income rate of the Social Security Trust Fund and the future Social Security obligations. The Social Security program is most likely in an actuarial deficit if the summarized cost rate of the Social Security for any given valuation period is greater than the summarized income rate. This situation is often called as the Social Security being insolvent.
