ADWARE
A software package that displays, downloads or play advertisements on a remote computer. The term Adware originated from "advertising-supported software". Adware commonly appears as a pop-up in the remote computer. A pop-up is a new window that is unlocked and contains advertisements. The frequency of the adware may be regulated by changing pop-up preferences and controls within their online browsers.
