AFFIDAVIT OF TITLE
A document, issued by the seller of the property, that straightly declares the level of possible legal problems involving the seller or the property. An affidavit is a an affirmed statement of truth. An example of this is whenever an individual is hoping to merchandise a piece of property are obligated to give an affidavit of title which indicates that the property really belongs to the seller, that there are no liens versus the property, the merchant is not in bankruptcy affairs and the property is not being merchandise to a different party.
