AGROFORESTRY
The integration of farming and/or agriculture with forestry to simultaneously use the land for different intentions. The main aim of this actions is to have both environmental and financial benefits. There are benefits that comes with the presence of trees such as improvements in the soil which will result to better crops and may also serve as a shelter for livestock. A more even income for landowners, since all of their income is not tied anymore to some crops or single season, may also be provided by the agroforestry method. Farmers can also take advantage from the agroforestry system through an easier transition from one kind of crop to another depending on the demand on the market for their product changes.
