AGRICULTURAL SECTOR INVESTMENT PROGRAM - ASIP
A program of the World Bank focused on the development of agriculture in Africa. The four primary goals of the Agricultural Sector Investment Program are:
- Institutional and policy improvements for the betterment of the key areas of trade and pricing, marketing, land use and tenure, and food security.
- Institutional and policy improvements to complement with public investment
- Development of the private sector to attract private dollars
- A rural investment fund will be created for small-scale capital investments situated on rural areas to support the privatization of government farms through a matching grant basis.
