ADAAA

It is a law that has been effective since January 1, 2009 that enlarges the scope of the population that can be deemed "disabled" as defined by the American with Disabilities Act. The ADAA was put into law to make it easier for people that want protection under ADA to establish that they have a disability under the guidelines of ADA. Still, the ADA’s definition of a disability was upheld in the amendment as having a mental or physical impairment that significantly limits their major life activities. But the amendment also added an explanation on what are major life activities.
