AMORTIZING SWAP
Amortizing Swap is an exchange of cash flows, one pays a floating interest rate while another pays fixed interest rate; both of them are based on a decreasing notional principal amount. The reason why the principal amount is periodically decreasing is because it is connected to another financial instrument that has amortizing or declining principal balance like mortgage.
