A secondary kind of health insurance coverage which covers the miscellaneous medical expenses incurred during the stay at the hospital. The ancillary benefits can pay for expenses such as blood, drugs, medical supplies such as bandages and ambulance transportation. These benefits are often layered on the top of medical coverage.
