ANNUITY
A financial product sold by the financial institutions which is designed to admit and increase money from an individual and, upon its annuitization, dole out a series of payments to the individual at a later period. The annuities are generally used as a means of ensuring a consistent cash flow for an individual once his/her retirement years had come.
