ASSET-BACKED COMMERCIAL PAPER - ABCP
A short-term investment vehicle whose maturity is often between 180 and 90 days. The security itself is normally issued financial institutions or by a bank. The notes are reinforce by physical assets, trade receivables for example, and are commonly employed for short-term financing requirements.
