ASYMMETRIC INFORMATION
It is a situation wherein one party or person under a deal or transaction possess a more superior information as compared to the other party. This commonly happens in deals wherein the sellers have more knowledge than the buyer, although there are some cases where the opposite happens. In theory, there is a potential harm that can happen because the other party might take it into his or her advantage.
