AUTONOMOUS CONSUMPTION
The lowest consumption level which would still exist regardless of whether the customer still has an income or not. This contradicts the discretionary consumption, which is employed for non-essential items. Once incorporated with discretionary income, an autonomous consumption defines a person's real income or real wages.
