BADWILL
A negative effect experienced by a company once the investment community and shareholders figure out something which has been carried out but doesn't comply with good business practices. Although normally it is not provided in a dollar amount, badwill can materialize in the form of loss of market share, loss of suppliers or clients, a decline in revenue, and even federal indictments for the crimes committed.
