BAILOUT TAKEOVER
Occurrence in which a profitable corporation or government seizes control of an ailing unstable company to regain its financial strength. This is done by acquiring its shares, exchanging stocks, or both. The acquiring entity develops a rehabilitation plan for the acquired firms, including its management process and managerial team, measures to protect shareholders, and steps to recover its financial position.
