BALANCE SHEET
A financial statement which summarizes the assets and liabilities of the company, as well as the shareholders' equity within a particular point in time. These three balance sheets segment provide investors an idea regarding what the company owes and owns, as well as the amount invested by its shareholders.
Formula for the balance sheet:
Assets = Liabilities + Shareholders' Equity
