BASING POINT PRICING SYSTEM

A pricing regulation in which the buyer pays a base price and a set of shipping price based on the distance from a particular location. The basing point which is the estimated distance that is set by the basing point pricing system will be added to a transportation cost depending on how far away the buyer is from that place. Usually, the manufacturing point is in the same area as the basing point, and the shipping fee is already concluded regardless of the actual location of the buyer or seller.

Literally, prices include transportation charges from the basing point, despite of the area from which the actual shipment is made.
