A sign that displays the possible presence of a trend is called Bellwether. The efficiency and achievements of particular companies/bonds and stocks are calculated by analysts to show the status of the economy and monetary markets because their performance is synchronized with a trend. In particular, bellwether companies are the market leaders in their respective area.
