CASH BALANCE PENSION PLAN
Pension plan in which an employer credits an employer’s account with a fixed percentage of his annual compensation plus interests. Its financing restrictions and requirements, as well as the investment risk are anchored on defined-benefit requirements as changes in the portfolio do not influence the final benefits to be received by the participant upon termination or retirement. The firm solely holds all ownership of profits and losses in the portfolio.
