CASH COMMODITY
In futures trading, it refers to the actual physical commodity delivered upon completing a contract. Some contracts can be settled in cash, which means the cash changes hand. The contract will indicate the number of units of the cash commodity to be delivered, as well as the specific features of the cash commodity.
