Professional designation awarded to individuals expert in the financial aspects of divorce. The practitioner explains the financial indications of divorce settlements including alimony, asset distribution, and child support. To become a CFDP, one must finish the 10-week training program by the Academy of Financial Divorce Practitioners or complete a self-study materials package.
