CHINESE HEDGE
Trading hedge by taking a short position in a convertible security and a long position in the underlying asset. Protecting investors against risks, it looks at capitalizing on mispriced conversion factors. The trader gains profit when that asset depreciates, which reduces the premium on the convertible security. Also called reverse hedge.
