CLOSED TO NEW ACCOUNTS
Situation in which an investment vehicle no longer accepts new investors but still operating for current investors. It is applicable to mutual funds, hedge funds, or a professionally managed pooled investment instrument. Institutional money managers may close some portfolio groups to new accounts while leaving other accounts open.
