CLOSING TICK
Difference between the number of stocks that inched higher than their previous trade and the number of stocks that ended on a downtick. Traders use this as a technical indicator to determine strength and weakness in the broad market. A sustained series of upbeat closing ticks signals bullishness while a series of negative closing ticks denotes bearishness.
