COLLEGE LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM - CLEP

Plan allowing students to earn college credit for introductory-level by obtaining satisfactory scores in several subject areas. It offers 33 examinations in subjects such as American government, biology, calculus, English Literature, financial accounting, macroeconomics, and Spanish language, among others. This can give three to 12 college credits to a student, depending on the college’s policy. CLEP enables students to save money on college tuition, skip unnecessary courses, and accelerate graduation. Students need not past academic experience in a certain subject area to take examination and earn credit because this is also applicable to students who gained knowledge through independent study, on-the-job training, and other ways.
