COMPARABLE COMPANY ANALYSIS - CCA
Process used in evaluating the value of a firm using the metrics of other businesses of the same size within the same industry. It operates under the assumption similar firm have similar valuations multiples including EV/EBITDA. Analysts compile a list of available statistics for the firms being assessed, then compute the valuation multiples to compare these companies. Also called comps.
