CONDUIT ISSUER
Organization that gives municipal securities to generate capital for revenue-generating projects. The third party, also called conduit borrower, then use the fund to pay investors. It is usually backed by either the conduit borrower’s credit or funds pledged by outside investors. In the event a project fails and the security defaults, the conduit borrower is responsible for this.
