CONFIRMATION BIAS
Psychological phenomenon explaining the reason individuals seek out information backing their opinions and reject which refutes their beliefs. It occurs when individuals filter possibly useful data and opinions that don’t coincide with their notions. This affects perceptions and decision making of a person, which can lead to making less than optimal choices in life.
