CONGLOMERATE
Corporation comprised of several unrelated businesses. In this structure, one firm owns a controlling stake in numerous smaller ones that conduct business separately. Each of its subsidiary operates independently of the other business divisions, but they report to senior management at their parent firm. It allows diversification of business perils.
