CONSOLIDATED TAPE
Electronic program which reports real-time data continuously on trading volume and price for securities traded on an exchange including the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Nasdaq, and the New York Stock Exchange. It is divided into two different reporting systems. Consolidated tape reports a security’s activity in all the exchanges where it trades.
