CONVENTIONAL MORTGAGE
Mortgage in which its terms and conditions meet the funding criteria set by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Depending on market conditions and consumer needs, around 35%-50% of mortgages are conventional ones. Either fixed-rate or adjustable-rate mortgages, such mortgages are backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
