COUNTERMOVE
Movement of a security’s price opposite to the current trend. It occurs following the original trend moves in the opposite direction but by a lesser amount. It allows investors to buy low, sell high by taking advantage of the price receding along the current trend to acquire a better entrance. Also called retracement.
