COUNTERVAILING DUTIES
Tariffs imposed on imported products to offset subsidiaries made to producers of these products in the exporting country. It aims counter the negative impact between local producers and foreign producers who can afford to sell the product at a lesser price because of the subsidy from their respective governments.
