CREDIT SLEEVE
Credit agreement between lender and another company that is backed by physical assets. The lending party provides working capital and collateral to the sleeve provider or company. In essence, the lending party co-guarantees some outstanding credit arrangements of the sleeve provider with other lenders to increase the latter’s overall credit quality. It often emerges when a firm’s credit score declines and the company has less access to more conventional financing methods.
