CREDIT SHELTER TRUST - CST
Trust allowing a married investors to evade estate taxes when relinquishing assets to their inheritors. It is designed in such a way the assets stated in the trust agreement, up to the fixed maximum amount), are transferred to the heirs when the investor dies. However, the spouse still has rights to the assets and the income earned in the remainder of his or her life. Also referred to as AB Trust.
